Transportation Information: From Noibai (Hanoi) Airport to Venue / hotels

Taxis or mini bus to the center of Hanoi are available at this airport. Just go outside the Arrival Terminal, past one lane and all transportation are located there. If you arrive on Saturday or Sunday between 8am and 10pm, there will be 2 staff from VinaREN waiting inside arrival hall with LMI WORKSHOP sign (pictured below) to assist you, as well as 2 staff members present at the Hoa Binh Hotel.

Your transporation options from the airport to the hotel:

Taxi: This is the most recommended way to travel to the hotel. Go outside the Arrival Terminal, past one lane and take any taxi.

• Regular fare is approximately 380.000 VND (~19 USD).
• Available anytime.
• Trip length: 1.5 hours

Also, please be aware that there is another hotel called Hoa Binh Palace and this may confuse your cab driver. 

Let your cab driver know that you want Hoa Binh Hotel, 27 Ly Thuong Kiet Str., Hoan Kiem District.  This hotel is across the street from the NASATI - National Centre for Scientific and Technological Information, 24 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem District (see Helpful Phrases below).

Mni bus: Go outside Arrival Terminal, past one lane, then turn left. After about 50 meters, you will reach the mini bus stop.

• Regular fare is 40.000-50.000 VND per person (~2 USD).
• Available from 6 AM - midnight .
• Trip length: 1.5 hours. Bus runs when seats are full.
• Final stop: 500 m to Nasati (Hoa Binh hotel)

Useful Information

The weather in Hanoi is hot and wet, sometimes rainy. The temperature is around 26 ~ 36°C (78 ~ 89°F) in August.

Transactions are using Vietnam dong (VND). The exchange rate is quoted around 21,000 VND to USD 1 as of August 2014. Foreign currencies can be exchanged at the Noibai International Airport upon arrival, or at government-authorized banks and tourist hotels.

Tipping is not required. A 10% value-added tax are added to room rates and meals.

City traffic is very crowned with motorbikes. The most recommended transportation is taxi.
